ODM delegates, meeting to back the newly constituted national officials, have said Governor Wycliffe Oparanya is ripe for presidency.

Led by County Secretary Paul Posho, the 58 delegates said Oparanya's past performance puts him in good standing to ascend to the top leadership.

"Oparanya is close to the apex in the party's hierarchy.

This will make it easy for him to vie for presidency after serving his two terms as governor. We all saw him run the Planning ministry well and also his Butere constituency," Posho said.

The delegates were speaking at Golf Hotel yesterday.
