Headphones with no strings attached

We are now on the cusp of the new wave of wireless headphones that use Bluetooth to connect to devices. However, these headsets have to be charged and thus have to be plugged into sockets for power, eliminating the notion of being entirely cordless. A start-up in the US known as Exod has now developed Helios, a headphone whose top is veneered with a thin photovoltaic film with solar cells, putting an end to connecting the headphones to power sockets. According to the developers, an hour of exposure to sunlight can provide enough energy for the headsets to run for half an hour when in constant use. The headset also comes with a micro USB charging cable that can be used in cases where natural light is not available.
