The Permanent Presidential Music Commission (PPMC) has announced it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the county government to nurture talent.

The revelation comes at a time when the government has put aside Sh38 million to spur talents.

Speaking at Forest Lodge in Diani on Friday during a graduation ceremony of 37 youths in the inaugural Kwale Mziki Talanta, PPMC Executive Director Rufus Thuku (pictured) and Governor Salim Mvurya exuded confidence that the new found partnership will propel the county into higher levels.

"The MoU will make sure that we have such camps annually, which will also see those picked go for all presidential events within the nation," said Mr Thuku.

He said the initiative is to empower youths with proficiency skills that can make them earn a living from their talents.

"We want to churn youths who can employ themselves and Kwale has done a great thing in organizing this and no one will regret," he said.
