Keep off Machakos County Assembly affairs, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka told

Machakos, Kenya: Members of the Machakos County Assembly have cautioned Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka against meddling in the affairs of the assembly.

The MCAs told the former VP to keep off politics of the assembly since he was not their spokesman.

Addressing the Press, assembly’s leader of minority Thomas Mweu Kasoa said the former VP was misplaced by claiming that MCAs who impeached deputy governor Bernard Kiala ashamed the county.

While officiating Okoa Kenya Initiative at Nzaikoni market in Kathiani constituency, Kalonzo said the MCAs action to impeach the deputy governor was regrettable and a big shame to Machakos County and Ukambani region at large after the Senate reversed the verdict.

Flagged by a number of MCAs from different political parties, Kasoa said what the assembly did on the deputy governor was to the best of their approval over his misconduct and that Kalonzo's claims were meant to antagonize MCAs.

''We acted upon accusations levelled against Mr Kiala without bias or witch –hunt. Kalonzo's criticism is bent to incite the public against our move'' he said.

Kasoa added that the former VP was belittling himself before the elected leaders in Machakos County and the entire region for engaging in divisive politics.
