Machakos, Kenya: The Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala office saga took a new twist Thursday as a section of the MCAs threatened another impeachment.

When Kiala resumed work on Wednesday after a long absence owing to the prevailing political intrigues, he found the office without a door and furniture.

However, Thursday, the county secretary Francis Mwaka dismissed Kiala's claims that his office was vandalised arguing that it was still intact.

Kiala said that his new office has been in operation for some time since early June and wondered how it had been subjected to a repair.

But Mwaka, reacting to Kiala’s sentiments and terming them untrue, took journalists around the old office where everything was intact.

He said the office Kiala purpoted to be his belongs to finance department and was being renovated.

“It is ridiculous for a leader to tell the whole world lies yet he cannot prove his claims,” said Mwaka.

He said the deputy governor's office has never been interfered with and claimed Kiala opted to stage manage office vandalism for his political mileage.

But Kiala insisted that some of the local journalists could bear him witness for having conducted a number of Press briefing in the new office.

His sentiments were supported by some of the journalists who took Mwaka to task demanding why he was misleading them.

Several MCAs who accompanied Mwaka led by majority leader Joshua Mwonga and his leader of minority Thomas Kasoa, threatened to conduct another impeachment against Kiala for his persistent dishonest behaviour to the government he was serving in.
