Schoolgirl 'strangled and beheaded by 15-year-old classmate'

A schoolgirl aged 15 has admitted to beheading a classmate after hitting her on the head and strangling her. The teenager, who has not been named, reportedly confessed to killing Aiwa Matsuo, also 15, before dismembering her body.
She was arrested yesterday after Aiwa's remains were discovered in Sasebo, Japan.
The suspect also admitted to cutting off the dead youngster's left hand, Japan's Kyodo news agency reports.
The dead girl's body was found on a bed in the suspect's apartment with the implements allegedly used in the killing found close by.
Both girls are understood to have graduated from the same junior high school.
The victim went missing after going to meet friends on Saturday afternoon, Sky News reports.
Her parents raised the alarm after she did not return home that evening.
