Nakumatt boss: Let’s aim to host W. Cup in 2030

Kenya: As the football carnival at the World Cup gets to its penultimate week, Nakumatt Holdings Managing Director Atul Shah has expressed his wish to see East Africa host the tourney in 2030. He has disclosed his intent to mobilise support of regional business, multinational organisatons and political stakeholders to place region's bid for the 2030 tourney.

Beyond football World Cup bid, Shah, has also set his sights on the seamless hosting of 2031 Cricket World Cup and 2032 Olympics using the same facilities; effectively killing three birds with one stone. "I've been thinking that East African nations, now need to join hands and place a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup tourney," Shah says.
