Boost for farmers as Equity partners with UoN to improve agriculture

University of Nairobi (UON) has entered into a partnership agreement with a local bank to promote the agriculture sector in the country.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the university and Equity Bank Foundation, which will see the two parties collaborate in various fields, was signed yesterday.

In the deal the Foundation is obligated to provide research opportunities for Masters and PhD Students and promoting the development and implementation of new innovations and technology at the university.
The university's Vice Chancellor Peter Mbithi said they will jointly organize and run customized short term trainings with farmers who are supported by the foundation.
