Cotu backs pilots in demanding for resignation of top KQ bosses

NAIROBI, KENYA: Pilots at Kenya’s national airline got a boost on Friday after the country’s umbrella union backed their demands that Kenya Airways’ top management quit.

In a statement to newsrooms, Central Organisation of Trade Unions (Cotu) boss Francis Atwoli said the problems afflicting the national airline were largely to be blamed on the management of the carrier.

Atwoli claimed that the “chaotic scenes” at Kenya Airways require “decisive” but “painful” decisions to be taken by the directors, including shedding the current management, in order to get the carrier back on its feet.
