Champions Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) will be seeking to add another silverware to their cabinet this weekend when they take on Lunch Bar Quins in the final of the 2014 Airtel Impala Floodlit tournament final.

KCB beat Top Fry Nakuru 25-21 in the semi-finals last weekend as Lunch Bar Quins stopped Mean Machine 20-3 in another one-sided semi-final encounter.

During their semi-final duel, KCB  took the game to Nakuru but found themselves trailing when Nelson Oyoo pounced on a loose ball to touch down before Odiyo converted for a 7-0 lead with six minutes of floodlit rugby played.

The bankers woes were compounded by the loss of Ken Moseti who was later replaced by Mike Omondi. KCB, however, soon steadied the ship to force Nakuru into an infringement before Essau Otieno slotted home the penalty to cut the deficit to 7-3.

Collins Wanjala would receive the ball on the burst from Billy Isabwa to touch down. Otieno added the extras as KCB took a 10-7 lead at half time.

On resumption, The Wanyore's  piled pressure on the bankers to take the lead when Victor Shigholi touched down with Odiyo converting to see them go 14-10 three minutes into the second half before Peter Waitere scored to steer them to a 15-14 lead.

The bankers turned over possession with Peter Karia scoring his second try of the tournament off a rolling maul with Otieno converting for a 22-14 lead. Otieno would add a penalty to see his side 25-14 up.

Nakuru began the chase before their efforts paid off courtesy of Philip Kwame's converted try with three minutes to play but the bankers held on for the 25-21 result, their first win over Nakuru since 2011. In another semi-final duel, Lunch Bar Quins reached the final courtesy of a 20-3 win over Mean Machine.

Machine signaled their intent early on, forcing an infringement off Quins but Kelvin Njugi's second  minute goal attempt sailed wide off the posts. But it was Machine who went ahead courtesy of Njugi's 18th minute penalty.

Brian Mwenda would soon put Quins ahead with Kevin Keegan converting for a 7-3 lead before  Keegan  added a penalty for a 10-3 lead into the interval.

Paul Abuto extended Quins' lead with an unconverted try three minutes into the second half as they took control of the fixture despite Machine's valiant efforts. Later, Dennis Muhanji landed his side's third try to ease into the final.

In the universities category, champions Kenyatta University Blak Blad will meet the 2012 champions United States International University (USIU) after beating Jomo Kenyatta University of  Agriculture and Technology 29-12 on Saturday. USIU had earlier beaten Kenya Cup bound Catholic Monks 25-14 in the semis.

In the schools category, Ofafa Jericho signalled their intent to retain the title after thrashing Makini School 43-0 to earn a finals against Laiser Hill who hit former champions Alliance High School 20-12 in the other semi final duel.
