A man, 37, has been charged with impersonating a senior military officer in a Lodwar court.

The suspect also defrauded Judith Waliaula Sh204,000 in pretence he would recruit her two daughters, Sylvia Nasimiyu and Martha Simiyu into KDF.

And on January 18 at Lodwar township, Maina allegedly obtained Sh40,000 falsely from Anastancia Nyamusi pretending he could recruit her into KDF.

Wachira was also charged with forging military documents contrary to Section 357(a) of the penal code.

He was accused that between the dates, he conned the women, he made false KDF recruits admission forms purporting them to be genuine KDF training school admission forms.

He pleaded guilty to all seven charges before Lodwar Magistrate E.N Wasike. The case will be heard Thursday, when the court is expected to receive more evidence against him.
