Thugs break into Wiper party headquarters

NAIROBI; KENYA: Thugs broke into Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) headquarters along Othaya road, Nairobi on early Monday morning and stole computer, documents and other items.

The incident occurred at 2 am.

Police say the thugs might have been targeting specific information. So far they have not made any recovery. The suspects are still at large.

Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, the WDM party leader and Cord alliance running mate has convened an aspirants meeting of his Wiper party this week to discuss the impeding nominations.

The meeting for the lower Eastern region aspirants is set to be held at Machakos Golf Club from 10 am, ahead the nominations slated for 10th January.

The VP aims to use the occasion to reassure all aspirants that no one will be favoured during the nominations and that the exercise will be carried out in a fair and free manner.
