EMBU,KENYA; Restore and Build Kenya presidential aspirant James ole Kiyiapi has advised the electorate to ignore political alliances being formed ahead of the next General Election.

Prof Kiyiapi said the crafters of the alliances are driven by selfish interests and don’t care about the plight of Kenyans.

Speaking in Embu town while on a tour of the Central Eastern region, Kiyiapi told resident to vote for candidates based on their ideologies and not alliances to which they belong.

The former Education PS said he was still in the race for the presidency, and would not give up his quest to change the lives of Kenyans.

“Those who want the presidency should each come out and let the people of Kenya choose the best among them. There is no way Kenyans can elect a Government of a group of people. Who will Kenyans be regarding as the leader of the country,” wondered Kiyiapi.

Experienced

He said he has many years experience in the management of Kenya’s resources, citing his stints at the ministries of Education and Forestry.

He expressed confidence that he would win the election in the first round, adding that his victory will surprise many including pollsters who don’t rate him in their surveys.

He said if he ascends to the presidency, he would work closely with the county governments to ensure all children get access to early childhood education and also improve education standards.
