Pakistan bomb blast kills at least 14 near polio centre

A bomb blast on Wednesday killed at least 14 people close to a polio eradication centre in Pakistan's western city of Quetta, police said, with most of those killed policemen who were providing security to vaccination workers.

The blast hit a police van, and police are investigating whether it was a suicide bomb, senior police officer Abdul Waheed Khattak told local TV channels.

At least 20 others were also injured in the blast, local TV channels reported, quoting police and hospital sources.
