Kakamega, Kenya: A robbery suspect was lynched in Emulambo village, Mumias West District.

The suspect tried to force his way into the house of a businessman when alarm was raised leading to the lynching.

The man at first climbed a tree to escape the mob, but he was forced down.

“It’s January. Everyone is struggling to feed his family but those who want to use short cuts must be careful,” Moses Okoye, a resident, warned.

Mumias West DO Fidelis Babu said the suspect could not be identified.
