Chepkwony wins Kericho cross

Last year’s Frankfurt Marathon champion Caroline Chepkwony clocked 28:47.66 to win the women’s 8km race during the Kericho District Cross Country Championships at Kericho Teachers Training College at the weekend.

Pamela Cherotich, a younger sister to Sydney Olympics Bronze medallist Edwin Soi, was second after clocking 29:54.13.

Purity Cherotich came third in 30:01.06. She was followed by Chepkoech Millie, Ruth Chepngetich and Monicah Chebet in that order.
