Wabukala urges unity after vote

Anglican Church Archbishop Eliud Wabukala, has expressed fears campaigns for and against the Proposed Constitution may divide the country.

The archbishop urged those involved in the campaigns to avoid utterances likely to create divisions after the August 4 referendum.

Wabukala said it was important for the country to remain stable and united even after the plebiscite.

He said although referendum was still a new concept to Kenyans, politicians and others in the ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ campaigns should not use it to create divisions.

The prelate was speaking in Kutus Town on Sunday after opening an ultra-modern office complex for the Kirinyaga Anglican Diocese.
