Miguna blasts Uhuru for awarding ‘Githeri man’ on Jamhuri Day, this is how he described it

Former Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna is not a happy man after Martin Kamotho aka ‘Githeri man’ was given a Head of State Commendation (HSC) award by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

President Uhuru gave the awards when he presided over the 54th Jamhuri Day celebrations held at the Moi Sports Stadium Kasarani, Nairobi on the 12th of December.

Miguna Miguna said that giving an award to Githeri man is like giving a gold medal to a Luo because he is eating ugali and fish on a calabash.

“The illegitimate despotic duo are clueless political vagabonds. Bestowing state "honour" on a Kikuyu man eating githeri in a plastic bag is like giving a gold medal to a Luo because he is eating ugali and fish on a calabash. The act cannot legitimise demagogues,” Miguna posted on his twitter handle.

However, Miguna does not seem to be the only one offended over the procedure used on who should be presented with the awards. Most social media users took to the internet to question the same.
