Europa League last-16 draw in full as Man Utd, Wolves and Rangers learn fate

Manchester United will face Austrian side LASK in the last-16 of the Europa League following Friday's draw in Nyon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Red Devils made light work of Club Brugge on Thursday to book their spot in the next round of Europe's secondary club competition.

And less than 24 hours after their comfortable 5-0 second-leg win at Old Trafford, the Premier League giants discovered that they will go up against the relatively-unknown Austrian table toppers.

United's Premier League rivals Wolves have joined them in the last-16 and Nuno Espirito Santo's side will face Olympiakos, who produced a stunning second-leg performance on Thursday to knock out Arsenal.

Rangers were the third British representative in the draw, with Steven Gerrard's side facing a tricky two-legged encounter with German side Bayer Leverkusen.

United booked their spot in this draw after crushing Club Brugge 5-0 at Old Trafford to ease into the last 16.

United's 6-1 aggregate win was sparked by the 22nd-minute dismissal of Simon Deli for a clear handball, although there was still a VAR review, resulting in Bruno Fernandes converting the penalty.

Fernandes was involved when Juan Mata teed up Odion Ighalo for a goal on his full debut seven minutes later, with Scott McTominay making it 3-0 before the break, and Brazilian midfielder Fred wrapping up the rout with a late brace for only his second and third goals since a £52million move from Shakhtar Donetsk in June 20.

Wolves unsurprisingly booked their place in the last 16 despite suffering a 3-2 defeat at Espanyol, for whom former West Ham striker Jonathan Calleri scored a hat-trick.

Following last week's 4-0 thumping at Molineux, Espanyol offered hope of a comeback when Calleri fired home a close-range drive in the 16th minute, only for Barcelona-born Adama Traore to effectively put the tie beyond doubt six minutes later with a crucial away goal.

Although Calleri put the hosts ahead again on the night with a 57th-minute penalty, defender Matt Doherty's seventh goal of the season 11 minutes from time again hauled Wolves level before Calleri added a third in added time.

The Premier League pair are joined by Scottish giants Rangers, who reached the next round thanks to a win over Braga on Wednesday night.

The Light Blues suffered a relapse of their penalty curse as Ianis Hagi became the fourth Ranger this season to miss from the spot just before half-time.

They had already wasted two other golden chances to stretch last week's 3-2 first-leg lead but Ryan Kent settled any nerves as rifled home 16 minutes after the break.
