As different countries continue to prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics scheduled to kick off on July 24th and run up to August 9th, Uganda has already unveiled the number of athletes representing the country. The teams participating in the event will compete across 50 disciplines, including athletics, gymnastics, swimming, boxing and weightlifting, to name a few.
Normally, Uganda takes a team of players to represent them in only a few events like boxing, athletics, badminton, weightlifting, and swimming. As such, the country has sent a team of 10-21 athletes to represent them in the Olympics since 2008, with most of them being the runners up. However, Uganda expects to increase the number of players in their team in this year’s event.
