By the end of the day he was dressed in complete school uniform, his school fees had been paid and had been admitted to form one.

This comes just a day after another student at Moi Nyabohanse Girls High School got help after her mother stated she was willing to sell her kidney to send her to school.

Hesbon Wabwire, 16, scored 386 marks in the 2019 KCPE and was offered a place at Maseno School.

However, due to financial constraints, Hesbon could not raise the required school fees.

The boy, determined to start his high school journey, woke up one morning and walked from Matayos, Busia County to Maseno.

Armed with only his admission letter, Hesbon set off for school hoping he would convince the management to admit him.

Dressed in a shirt, tattered shorts and slippers, the boy waited at the school gate and by luck came across a well-wisher who shared his story online.

So many people were touched by his determination and pledges started streaming in.
