Two dead after driver makes U-turn and hits motorbike

45-year-old George Morara and 47-year-old Peter Omari died on the spot after the motorcycle they were on was knocked by a pickup on Sunday, October 20, in Suneka, Kisii County

According to reports, the pick up’s driver 40-year-old Kelvin Mokaya was heading towards Migori from Suneka when the tragedy occurred.

Mokaya allegedly made a U-turn and hit the motorcycle, which was heading to Suneka, in Iyabe area.

The unharmed driver was subjected to the wrath of the crowd who set ablaze his double cabin pickup.

The two bodies were moved to Kisii Level 6 Hospital mortuary.

Police officers from Gesonso Police Station were forced to fire their guns into the air to calm the crowd.

Two police officers were injured while trying to disperse the irate mob and were rushed to the Kisii Level 6 Hospital.
