PHOTOS: 22-year-old MMU student wins EABL logo competition, takes home Sh1 million

A 22-year-old Multimedia University student is the winner of East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL) logo competition dubbed as EABL 'Got Skillz'. 

Elvis Otieno who learned about the competition from a friend, defeated 20 other contestants and will now take home a grand prize of Sh1 million.

The third year Film and Animation student’s design logo will be polished by a team of professionals and according to EABL, the final logo will be unveiled in the next few weeks.


Elvis will also get the chance to be mentored at the WPP-Scangroup by some of the most skilled creative designers in East Africa. This will be a great opportunity for the MMU student to advance his career.

“It was overwhelming; I still don’t know what to do or say but I am very happy. My friend sent me a screenshot of the competition and I just submitted my design,” said Elvis.

1st runner up was John Kinyanjui and 2nd runner up was the Wiptem Creators who will both take home Sh500,000 and Sh300,000 respectively.
