Schoolboy, 13, manages to break into airport, steals two planes

News

A shocking video shows a 13-year-old teen trying to fly a stolen plane before crashing it into an airport runway.

The teenager was caught on CCTV trespassing on the runway, breaking into two cockpits at midnight at a holiday resort in China.

The 13-year-old managed to sneak past security and took not one but two planes for a spin.

He managed to glide one of the light-sport aircraft, but lost control of the vehicle and crashed it into a nearby fence.

The teen then got off the plane and entered another one, steering the plane along the runway for several minutes before disembarking.

Staff at the Taihu National Holiday Resort, which is located on the shores of Taihu Lake in Huzhou City in East China’s Zhejiang Province, arrived at the airbase the following morning to find both SeaRey flying boats outside their hangar.

The SeaRey flying boats are used for sightseeing excursions at the touristic hotspot.

The staff even recalled seeing the teen a day before at the runway observing the planes for nearly two hours.

It is thought the teen planned to fly one of the planes.

The boy is believed to have sneaked out of his home without anyone knowing his whereabouts.

Authorities soon managed to locate the teen who was at home doing his school work.

His family was completely unaware he had trespassed a runway and tried to fly off with a stolen plane.

Officials are continuing to investigate the case.
