A woman suspected of conspiring to kill her husband has been remanded for ten days.
Christine Dunge Kattam was arraigned yesterday but could not take plea after police sought for more time to conclude investigations.
Dunge is suspected to have conspired with other people to kill John Mulama on May 13 at their home in Shinyalu, Kakamega East sub-county.
In a sworn affidavit, Police Constable Athman Ali told the court that he needed more time to liaise with mobile phone service providers on the case.
“We need to forward the suspect’s phone to service providers to provide communication data and to the cyber-crime unit in Nairobi to ascertain allegations of conspiracy with the attackers,” he said.
Senior Resident Magistrate Josephine Maragia ordered her remanded at Shinyalu Police until May 28 when the matter will be mentioned.
