Small scale dairy farmers will be benefiting from the county's decision to regulate milk prices.

The county administration said it will now be buying milk from farmers at cooling plants set up in every ward to cushion them from exploitative middlemen.

said her administration will install cooling plants in every ward, to help bring dairy farmers together and help in marketing their produce.

She said besides regulating milk prices, milk quality will also be safeguarded.

“It is not going to be business as usual. We have identified Chebunyo as the location to set up a milk processing plant where all milk will be processed and sold,” said Ms Laboso.
