Raila Junior’s advice to Echesa

Barely a month after his dismissal as the Sports Cabinet Secretary, Rashid Echesa has revealed that he is finding it hard to explain to his family why he was sacked.

Over the weekend, Echesa stated that even his children are asking him why he lost his job.

 “I have a family, I have a following of people and friends asking questions which I can’t answer. People are asking what I did to Uhuru. Even my own children are asking me why I was fired,” he said.

Raila Junior had a ready response for the former CS and gave him a list of possible answers whenever he is asked about losing his job.

“Dear sir @EchesaRashid , The following are options you may answer with: lack of Vision, incompetence, failure to follow up with a strategic plan, all the above,” wrote Raila Junior.

Netizens were also quick to weigh in on the matter and some asked him to choose silence.

“Simply tell them that you have retired”

“This guy echesa makes the most noise these days”

“Tell them you were sacked so that you can be with them more”

A day after his sacking, Echesa stated that he was in the dark over his dismissal but was grateful to President Uhuru Kenyatta for giving him a chance to serve in his government.

“I am cool and also want to urge my supporters and Luhyas to remain calm. I remain grateful to the President for offering me an opportunity to serve in his cabinet,” he remarked.

He was sacked on March 1 and replaced by Amina Mohammed.
