Nicholas Muyoti has been appointed the new Kakamega Homeboyz head coach.

The former Thika United coach was unveiled on Tuesday morning in Kakamega.

Muyoti who once played for Harambee Stars takes over from Allan Wanga, who had been appointed caretaker manager following the sacking of Ugandan Coach Paul Nkata over match fixing allegations.

He will be deputised by former Nakuru All Stars coach Peter Okidi.

“I have given Muyoti a target of ensuring that the club finishes among the top five in the league this season,” Club chaiman Cleophas Shimanyula said during the unveiling ceremony.

The club recently signed a Sh15 million per year deal with the County Government of Kakamega.

Kakamega Homeboyz are currently placed ninth on the Premier League table with 17 points.
