CS‘s trouble deepens at top official to testify against him

 “The senior staffer is ready to swear an affidavit against the CS"

It seems like the goose of a member of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Cabinet is already cooked.

This is after a senior official in the same ministry under the Cabinet Secretary offered to testify against him.

Sources have told The Grapevine the top officer, who has information that may sound the death knell for the career of the renowned minister, got in touch with security agents over the weekend.

“The senior staffer is ready to swear an affidavit against the CS and volunteer any information that will be helpful in the probe” said a man who is familiar with the ongoing probe against the CS.

It has also emerged that the CS is not in good terms with most of the staff in the ministry following reports they have been celebrating because of his troubles.

Former MP’s friendship with Raila causes jitters

Elsewhere, the appearance of former Kasipul Kabondo MP Oyugi Magwanga with opposition chief Raila Odinga at the weekend has reportedly caused jitters among ODM politicians from Homa Bay.

The move by Magwangato align himself with Raila after losing to Governor Cyprian Awiti at the Supreme Court has confused politicians from the county, who have declared their interest in succeeding the county boss who is serving his final term.

Some of the MPs were yesterday overhead complaining that by moving back to ODM, the former legislator would interfere with their succession plan.

Magwanga had put a spirited fight against the incumbent and would be a serious threat should he rejoin ODM, which enjoys fanatical backing in the region.
