Lillian Muli expresses regret at how she handled break up with ‘community husband’

Citizen TV news anchor Lillian Muli on Thursday opened up on her break up with husband Jared Ombongi wishing she would have handled the situation differently.

Speaking during an interview on K24, Muli explained that she had a weak moment and would now look for people to handle her social media pages.

“Some of the downside of whatever we do and how we handle our social media is that you can have a weak moment, you humanly put something out there that you can’t take back and people would jump on that and ride with it.

“Unfortunately I have learnt that not everything comes across as you would want to come across. I made peace with what it is I did,” she remarked.

In December 2018, Muli lashed out at her husband for infidelity, calling him a ‘community husband’.

“I’m officially single and will now focus on raising my boys. As public figures we meet all sorts of people and most just want trophies whether you are well known or not be very careful who you allow into your life don’t go giving your heart to everyone.

“Sociopaths will keep you entangled in their web of lies and you will be one of their many victims. When you actually believe someone is true to you only to find out they are community husbands you are safer stepping aside…” read her statement in part.

On Thursday she confirmed that she had made peace with Ombongi but did not go into the details.
