KCSE Student caught with ‘mwakenya’ in private parts

Police have arrested a Form four student who was sitting his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) over exam cheating.

The 22-year old student who has been identified as Abshir Mohamed, is reported to have been caught with a smartphone which had answers to one of the KCSE exam papers. 

Saad secondary school teacher noticed the student was uncomfortable when doing his chemistry paper two.

Nancy Murithi, who is the center supervisor frisked him and found a mobile phone whose number is said to be registered under a different name.

The incident was reported to the sub-county director of education while the student was taken to Pangani Police Station.

"She approached and found he had a smartphone on top of the desk, which she immediately confiscated and handed over to Cpl Booker Ochango," read the police report.

After police inspection, the mobile phone was found to have had the current examinations materials, English paper three, and Chemistry paper two, both questions and answers.

Police have arrested the student and will be arraigned in court on Friday, November 9.
