How foreign men lure Kenyan women into drug business

Many Kenyan women are languishing in local and international jail because of drug trafficking. They are lured into this business by foreign men who live flashy lifestyle.

They drive expensive cars, have expensive clothes and hung out in popular clubs spending thousands of shillings on drinks.

Most of them are also known to be persuasive and termed by many Kenyan women as romantic due to their lifestyle and they seem to be suitable suitors as the promise them all finer things in life.

For these men to thrive drug business and survive in foreign land, they lure local women into relationships and marriages. A romantic relationship starts and the next thing they are living together. The house they live in is rented under the woman’s name.

When the police officers get a wind of their illegal business and raids it, the woman is arrested as the man will claim he was a guest and know nothing about the drugs.

Another trick they use when they want to transport drugs in another country is taking their girlfriends for a vacation and pack drugs in the bags. When the couple arrives at the destination airport and the man suspects that things will go south, he asks the woman to carry the bags to the check point as the man attend to another ‘issue ‘.

The woman, not knowing they are drugs in the bag, goes at the check point, gets arrested never to hear from that man again.
