A man from Chepang’ang village, Londiani Division of Kipkelion East Constituency slashed his wife before killing himself.
The 35-year-old Paul Cheruiyot Langat ambushed his wife at a maize plantation, where he committed the heinous act.
She was left with deep injuries in her arms, neck and is currently fighting for her life at Molo Level Five hospital
According to neighbours, the deceased had been having domestic squabbles with his wife.
It is alleged that after attacking his wife, he went home where he took poison.
Neighbours called cops who arrested him and locked him, but he was pronounced dead hours later.
Cops confirmed that Langat had taken poison.
Speaking to The Nairobian, Langat’s brother said that they were all shocked by the incident.
“My brother had separated with his first wife before marrying Mama Chebet. In addition to accusations of infidelity, he was a disturbed man and loved alcohol,” he said.
