‘I am going to the World Cup’- Zlatan Ibrahimovic

One of the world’s most successful nomadic strikers Zlatan Ibrahimovi? will be going to the World Cup.

The Swedish striker was the star of the show after joining Major League Football outfit Los Angeles Galaxy in January, finding the net twice to help his side come from two goals down and win 3-1 against derby rivals Los Angeles FC.

Zlatan moved to the US from Manchester United, where he failed to secure enough game time due to his persistent injury concerns in his second season.

He made history after scoring on his LA Galaxy debut, becoming the only player score in seven debuts i.e. Ajax, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Barcelona, Paris St Germain, Juventus, Manchester United and LA Galaxy.

Speaking on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show on Tuesday, April 17, Zlatan spoke about his aspirations of playing in a World Cup, saying that he will be at the event in Russia.

“A World Cup without me wouldn’t be a World Cup,” said Zlatan as he refused to comment on whether he will be playing or watching from the stands.

“I just said I’m going to the World Cup. If I say more people will hang me, I have to be careful of what I say.” Added Zlatan.

Zlatan then said that he was happy to be at LA Galaxy and that he intends to make the club big.

Sweden failed to qualify for the 2014 World Cup following playoff elimination by Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.
