Police laugh off woman slapping saga, dare Matiang'i

A group of junior police officers was heard laughing at remarks by their boss Fred Matiangi over the conduct of their colleagues in Mathira where a woman was slapped within a police station.

The officers are challenging Matiangi to make impromptu visits to police stations without his trappings of power of escort and witness what ordinary people go through.

“Even having an officer to listen to a complainant is a problem. Police have many issues to deal with other than the complaints by Kenyans,” said one officer.

Another said Matiangi and the IG should visit any station on their own to see the attitude officers including the commanders have.
