Speaking at Kishaunet in West Pokot County after launching the tarmacking of Makutano-Kacheliba road, Ruto said the image of the Pokot community needed to change.


“The Jubilee Government has come to change the history of West Pokot, which has often been perceived as a cattle-rustling region,” said Ruto.

West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo challenged the youth to desist from using social media forums to fan ethnic tensions.


“Youths should desist from spreading propaganda and incitement messages on social media because its fueling conflict along the borders,” he said.
