Family of missing university student finds her body at Kenyatta hospital morgue

A family whose university going daughter went missing about a month ago has found her body in a mortuary after an immense search.

Diana Mumbi Mwangi who was a student at Multimedia University student left sister's house in Nakuru's Free Area for school on November 18, 2017.

Her parents report that she had returned home following a strike at Multimedia University, before going to visit her sister in Nakuru.

Diana’s father said she was very well behaved and they did not have incidents of indiscipline with her. “We never heard of anything to do with bad behavior in as far as she was concerned,” he said.

Afterwards, her family reported her missing and put up posters all over requesting members of the public to aid in her search.

Their search ended in a way they dreaded after they found her body at a hospital morgue.

According to the mortuary attendants, Diana’s body was discovered poisoned at a lodging in Eastleigh, Nairobi and was booked into the morgue by an unknown person on November 19.

A Facebook post by a relative on Saturday, December 16 reported that after the search, Diana’s family found her body at the Kenyatta hospital mortuary.
