Kenyans bash Miguna for mocking President Uhuru's congratulatory message to police

Former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna is not a pleased man after President Uhuru Kenyatta commended the police for doing their work during the electioneering period.

A signal signed by the Director of Operations at Kenya Police headquarters Benson Kibui states that officers deployed during the period discharged their duty “professionally” and “in accordance with the law.”

“I have been directed by the President to convey his commendation to officers of all ranks involved in various stages of the 2017 general elections exercise for the high degree of professionalism and dedication to duty displayed during the entire period,” read the signal which was sent through Inspector General Joseph Boinnet and his Deputy Joel Kitili.

According to the signal which was stamped ‘confidential’ on November 30, the President national police service remained firm in the execution of its mandate and in the service of Kenyan people despite the intense political disquiet.

This signal comes as Kenyans speculate over the alleged killings by police during the said period with the latest case being of the 7-year-old boy who was shot down on November 28.

Most Kenyans especially National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders and supporters have accused the government of allowing the police to use live ammo on protesters rather than rubber bullets.

The police, however, maintain that they did not shoot any supporters during the unrest.

Miguna Miguna, on his Twitter, handle mocked Uhuru’s commendation terming it as brutality.

The illegitimate president has congratulated his mungiki militia and barbaric @PoliceKE for their "excellent work" for ethnic cleansing, genocidal killing, maiming and brutalising predominantly Luos, Kambas, Luhyas and Kisiis. Patriots will REVISIT! https://t.co/bobdjmKzqu— Dr. Miguna Miguna (@MigunaMiguna) December 1, 2017

These remarks seemed to rub several tweeps the wrong way and they, in turn, accused Miguna of being an inciter.

surely what an irony, when i look at the photo of Geoffrey Mutinda 7 year old boy who was killed by police while playing on the balcony at his pipeline home on the 28th day of November i am left to wonder, what is the president applauding them for.May he rest in eternal peace.— Nancy Moraa Momanyi (@nmomanyi) December 1, 2017

One bad thing has been leading to the next worst thing.

From the economy to the lives of Kenyans,Uhuru regime has been making great atrocities &mistakes only cover it with the next worst mistake.
