‘Tenderpeneurs’ who expected to reap a second  windfall after the win of President Uhuru Kenyatta was annulled and repeat poll ordered , are having it  very rough.

Grapevine overheard a group of entrepreneurs lamenting at an upmarket Nairobi Hotel on how bad business is, pointing out that the second presidential campaigns has not been as lucrative for them as they envisaged.  

A threat by a key opposition leader not to participate in the polls has further killed any prospects of the business-people of making a killing.

That the political impasse currently experienced in the country has caused an economic meltdown is no secret.  

The people feeling the pinch however are some of the middle class, who bought cars using bank loans, which are now being repossessed by the financial institutions.

So grim is the situation that Auctioneers are now complaining of very poor sales despite the automobiles   being sold for what is considered a song.

This has forced one of the leading auctioneers in Nairobi, whose yard has a capacity of parking 1000 vehicles to refuse to take more cars from his clients since there is no space.
