Seven pointers that your girl is getting it somewhere else

Unlike women from older days, studies show that the modern woman is open to infidelity. You meet her, fall in love with her, settle down and a big part of you is confident that the kind of affair you have is everlasting. You believe that your love is capable of climbing the tallest mountain or sailing the stormiest sea. Then she cheats and it feels like the whole world has turned against you. Luckily enough, it is gradual with many tell-tale signs. If you’re keen enough, she won’t hit you with surprise when she decides to cheat. Here are some of the things that will warn you:

Busy-bee

The two of you used to spend lots of time together. Now her social calendar is full of schedules she doesn’t care to explain. She goes to a work conference for two days but doesn’t talk about it when she gets back. Although she may have gotten a promotion at work and has to work for longer hours, it could be she is spending time with someone else.

Increased privacy

Earlier before, she used to let you use her phone or access her mail accounts. Now she gets agitated if you get any close to her gadgets. She now goes to the washroom with her phone and locks her screen up whenever she leaves the room. She may be planning a surprise birthday party for you and she doesn’t want you to know but at times, she could be keeping you away from finding out her chats with the other guy.

Body language

She refuses to look into your eyes during conversations. She tags at her hair in public and makes eye contact with other people. She doesn’t follow your conversations but attempts to flirt with others. This may be just her way of wanting your attention, feeding her ego or just showing insecurity. If not, she is showing you that you no longer interest her.

Off the radar

You used to know her daily schedule. You could predict when she’ll be home for dinner and such stuff. She often called to let you know when she was going to be late or to notify you if she was going somewhere out of her schedule. Now she just goes off for hours and has no explanation when she reappears.

Defense

You try asking her if everything is fine with her and she rains a list of ‘leave me alone’. She gets snappy and edgy if you attempt to tell her that things don’t seem right between the both of you. If you offer to listen to her, she quickly builds up an impenetrable wall around herself and locks you out. She could be going through tough time at work but aren’t you the first person she should voice her worries to?

Her phone

The times you used to spend together have been intruded by this third party, her phone. She stops talking to you to reply to chats. She leaves in the middle of your dinner to receive a call many rooms away and comes back long after the food has gone cold. She laughs more when on phone than when talking to you. She could be talking and chatting with her gossip girls circle but when it becomes an everyday occurrence, the writing is on the wall.

New lingerie

You have always known her taste in lingerie, it certain didn’t include the new laces and frills that are now filling her drawers. She could be looking to spice things up between you but if has sexual drive has gone down, it means she is dressing up sexy for some other person.

While it easy to misinterpret any of these signals as infidelity, a combination of several of them are a definite pointer that your girl is dishing it out to a new guy. When they start piling up one after another, then it is a red flag that you can no longer ignore.
