A week ago, ladies on social media went Bonkers for IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba after he briefed the media on the submission of form 34As and 34bs. “Tharry Foor Bae”, to be exact, was what rekindled Chiloba’s fame on social media, with ladies all over Kenya temporarily turning into FBI agents on the internet, scavenging every last detail on Chiloba available on the internet.
Well, there’s a new Sherriff in town. Veteran politician and multi-party crusader Kenneth Matiba won a case in court that will see him receive Sh504 million as compensation for torture.
According to the High Court, the state itself is to blame for his bad health and sh18 million will be awarded to him to cater for the bills in hospital.
The former Cabinet minister will also receive an extra sh15 million as compensation for his struggles under law enforcers, with another sh471 million to cover his businesses.
He moves into Kenya’s history books as the petitioner who was given the most cash in court.
Kenyans on Twitter have gone berzerk – Everyone now wants a piece of Matiba or ‘Matibae’ as he has been dubbed.
