Attackers leave school pupils with broken limbs and skull injuries

Attackers believed to be part of the Al Shabaab militia might have tortured and seriously wounded the four children that went missing following the attack in Lamu on Tuesday.

Earlier reports had indicated that four police officers had been killed with the four children going missing after an Improvised Explosive Device was run over by a lorry ferrying the officers that were headed to Lamu West.

Two of the 4 pupils who disappeared after the attack that has been linked to Al-Shabaab at Ota in Lamu have been found bearing serious injuries with their legs broken and their skulls are wounded.

At least 17 Administration Police officers had on Tuesday been confirmed to have sustained injuries in the attack.

The Kiunga primary school pupils were on their way back to school after Eid celebrations at their homes in Mararani area and the officers opted to give the 14 a ride to school.

For pupils were reported to have died making the number of those killed in the attack 8, with fears that the numbers could rise.
