Lady loses her handbag mysteriously while buying goods in kibuye market

A 35 year old woman lost her handbag containing all her work documents and money; Sh.5000 at kibuye market in kisumu town on Sunday.

Rebecca Achieng who resides in Ahero cried uncontrollably when she realised that her bag was missing , she was in at crowded corner of the market.

"I only realised after my handbag had gone", she explains in tears.

Rebecca was at a Mtumba clothes corner where she bent to pick a few of her choice with her bag held between her legs.

Well, this could be suggested as a safe place when in a crowd, but it turned out that this was the worst.

According to one of the workers in Kibuye, the market is a wide with different people and it needs people to be careful especially on Sundays when thousands flock it to get relatively cheap household items.

Cases of pick pocketing have become rampant in places with a large number of people especially in markets.

The business people at Kibuye claim that the acts do not attract only men but some women were in the odd, something that looks weird in the society.

"They'll always dress like any other person and even some beautiful women are in this," said Nancy Achieng, one of the sellers in Kibuye market.

Nobody would be suspect them of shoplifting or pick pocketing from and once they steal, it is difficult to trace them in the congested stalls.
