Arsene Wenger makes a decision on whether he will shake Mourinho’s hand when the two clubs meet

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has openly insisted that he will shake hands with Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho, despite the recent altercations they have had on the touchline while ‘The Special One’ was managing Chelsea.

Arsenal host Man Utd at the Emirates on Sunday in a match seen as the decider whether either Man Utd or Arsenal will finish in the top four this season.

"I respect everybody and of course I respect Manchester United, I think the game will be just a game - and that is important for me." These were Wenger’s words in a previous briefing with the media, in which he also stated that Arsenal’s priority at the moment was finishing in the top four.

Mourinho, who has come under strong criticism for garnering too many draws at home this season, is guilty of having blasted Wenger by saying he was a ‘specialist in failure’, a statement that seemed to have raised fans’ anticipation whenever clubs being coached by them meet.

Manchester United came out victorious last night with a crucial 1-0 win against Spanish outfits Celta Vigo, with Marcus Rashford stealing the show. The now have a precious away goal to take back to Old Trafford, possibly helping them take one step forward in lifting the Europa League, a cup Man Utd has never lifted before.

Arsenal seem to be losing touch with the top four, having lost the London derby against Tottenham 2-0, courtesy of masterpieces from Harry Kane and Delle Alli.
