DP Ruto is our Kingpin, lets not be divided-MP

Mosop MP Kirwa Bitok has told the electorate to fully rally behind the Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the elections and shun anyone trying to divide the Rift Valley bloc vote.

Bittok said the region only recognises Ruto as their kingpin and the perceived renegades should join the bandwagon.

“Ruto is our kingpin and we should always support him because he means good for us. There are those politicians who are trying to sway you because of selfish interests. Don’t accept to be cheated but vote for the Jubilee Government in large numbers,” Bitok said.

He was speaking at his constituency on Monday when he toured several CDF-funded projects including the opening of new classrooms for St.Benedict Secondary Kipsamoite and Chepyewet Primary School among many others.

Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto and Baringo County senator Gideon Moi have been opposing Ruto in the region.

The duo Ruto and Moi have sharply in many instances differed with the DP’s style of leadership claiming it was bullish and not inclusive.

While saying an attempt to water-down his strength in the region is in vain, Bitok urged the residents to stay united if they want Ruto to ascend to the power in the year 2022.

“For now we are supporting the re-election of Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto and then our son will be the next one in the year 2022.Let us not get divided but remain united,” He said.

At the same time, he called for the electorate to support his second term bid saying his development record was impressive.

He cited infrastructural development, boosting education sector, improving the economy among many others that he accomplished.

“I know we have not fully reached our potential and there more to come in terms of developments but you have seen that I am capable and I want to urge you to elect me again,” Bitok said.
