Bishop Margaret Wanjiru : Sonko and I won't leave Jubilee.

Nairobi gubernatorial seat aspirant Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has dismissed claims that she is set to leave Jubilee party for ODM or opposition allied sides after Jubilee preparations for nominations were marred with chaos.

Wanjiru who has teamed up with Sanator Mike Sonko in their bid to ouster Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has said that she is confident of winning in the party primaries and are in Jubilee to stay.

"I am not joining ODM or any opposition party as we (Team Nairobi ) are confident that our competitors for the Jubilee ticket can not defeat us and we will team up to settle on the governor and deputy seat after nominations, " said Wanjiru.

She has insisted that the party comes up with a model that eliminates the use of smart cards as it stands a chance to lock out many from the process saying the IEBC register will be the better option to allow all registered voters participate in the exercise.

The formulation of the Nairobi county elections board that will run the party nominations was botched up as it turned chaotic once Senator Sonko entered the venue.

In recent opinion polls, Governor Kidero is seen to be the most preferred candidate as he seeks to retain his seat leaving the ruling party's candidates torn on who will face him in the August 8 General Election.

Bishop Wanjiru added that she hopes all the Jubilee party aspirant for the capital's top seat will handle the nominations with sobriety and help the party remain focused on its bid to capture the seat.
