Let’s Talk Stunners; helping people overcome their health-related stigma.

Let’s Talk Stunners, an initiative which began in 2011 has taken upon itself to help people overcome the stigma they face from society as a result of their health challenges.

Every Saturday, between 3 pm and 6 pm, the dedicated team of volunteers makes a visit to different children’ home, health centers, and schools to help patients recover from stigma.

The session involves people introducing themselves to each other and stating the health conditions they are facing.

A particular health topic is discussed, and the participants proceed to share their experiences. The initiative targets different families.

“Our vision is to improve the standard of health. We measure how impactful the initiative is by how happy people are after taking part in our sessions,” says Faith Agnetta, the founder of Let’s Talk Stunners.

To make the initiative a success, Faith Agnetta works hand in hand with doctors and psychologists and other stakeholders who are willing to offer their services for free to the victims.

“We do not heal their diseases. Let's Talk stunners helps them to come out and speak about their conditions.

In this way, we help them to cope much better with their surrounding environment,” Faith explains.

As Let’s Talk Stunners is not-for-profit initiative, getting skilled personnel and sponsors proves to be their greatest challenge.

Sometimes, people are not ready to share their experiences for fear of being judged.

Let’s talk stunners has begun a YouTube Show which sensitizes people about rare health conditions.

Faith had a rare health condition throughout her childhood which she is yet to know its name.

Her experiences made her initiate Let’s Talk Stunners. She believes she survived for a reason.

Faith Agnetta rose above her health challenges to start her company Indara EESAP which deals with events planning and the general supply of goods.

“There is no life situation which is permanent,” says Faith.

Up to date, Let’s Talk Stunners has reached out to five counties in Kenya including Nairobi, Kajiado, Bungoma and Machakos.
