Why Governor Okoth Obado's re-election will be a walk in the park.

The upcoming General Election in August is fast approaching and as usual, politicians are bracing up for brutal contests in order to stay relevant and either be elected or re-elected.

One thing that is certain about this elections is the fact that the incumbent Governor for Migori county H.E Hon.Okoth Obado will thrash his opponents mercilessly and earn himself a second term in office.

The soft spoken, calm and extremely confident leader of Migori county has a track record of development that is unmatched by none of his opponents including his fiercest rival, former Rongo M.P Hon Ochillo Ayacko who is viewed as extremely violent and thereby does not resonate well with the populace.

Hon. Obado's development activities are felt in almost every part of the county. In the health sector, he has made possible the procurement of ambulances for referrals and also delivered Sh 30 million worth of equipment to health facilities across the county.

In education, he has fast-tracked the construction of 120 ECDE classrooms and 10 youth polytechnics thereby boosting the quality of education within the county.

He has done so much and looks forward to doing much more during his second term.

Typical of all elected leaders, Hon.Obado has also had his fair share of unsubstantiated allegations of graft.

This has been viewed by his supporters as part of a general plan to taint his name and thereby portray him as unelectable.

This act of witch hunt against him has not been able to bear fruits and his name has been conspicuously missing from the list of corrupt governors who are on the watchlist of the anti-graft body EACC that is seeking to bar corrupt governors from being re-elected.

Hon.Obado's great service to the people of Migori county has been touted as the reason he will be able to clinch a second term in office and propel the county to the highest standards attainable.
