Moi came in so that he can sort the disunity that was being seen in the region so that President uhuru Kenyatta gets the full support of the Kalenjins.

There are still speculations on what agreement the president had with the retired President Moi about Gideon Moi support for Jubilee.

As per now Jubilee party has tightened its grip on the rift valley vote basket after Gideon Moi’s KANU party declared its support for Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election. The decision was announced following a national executive council meeting in Nakuru on Thursday.

However, KANU has said that it will field candidates in all other positions except the president.There are fears in Deputy President allies camp, with some thinking that with Gideon entry into the scene might affect Ruto’s ambitions of seeking the top seat in 2022.

Elsewhere Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has allowed NASA has to hold a rally in Uasin Gishu and he asked the leaders to sell their political agendas to the residents and tell the residents what they can do for them on matters of developments.
