Politicians from all political divides have been going round the country urging people to register as voters so that they can elect their preferred leaders.

With only hours left some of the regions in Kenya have recorded low registered voters compared to what was targeted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

While Kajado County has registered 228 per cent of new voters going by the target of IEBC, the home turf of NASA’s Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula has registered the lowest number of voters.

Vihiga county where Mudavadi comes from has the lowest number of those who have registered as voters with 28 per cent of the expected voters by the IEBC.

Uhuru Kenyatta seems to have done his assignment well because most of the Central region has registered a good number of voters. Almost all the counties in the central region have 80 per cent.

Kiambu has the highest registered voters in the region. It has recorded 88 per cent of the expected target.Nyeri was the only county in Central Kenya that had the lowest registration new voters,42 per cent which translates to only 68,000 registered voters.

According to the records, the new listing in Kiambu is more than the new listing in three counties of the Western region combined ( Vihiga, Kakamega, and Busia).

Nairobi has now 443,000 new voters. This is the county that has registered the highest number of new voters.Although they have a deficit of 49 perc cent of the targeted voters.

However, the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has expressed his confidence in the newly formed NASA alliance. According to him, they have put each and every machinery in place that will help them win in the forth coming August polls.
